A new dedicated technology conference is launching next year with backing from two of iGaming’s biggest industry platforms. SOFTSWISS, iGB, and ICE have partnered to establish Tech Race Summit 2026, an engineering-focused event designed to fill what organisers describe as a significant gap in the sector’s conference calendar.

The summit will take place on 10 September 2026 in Warsaw, Poland, bringing together technology leaders and infrastructure giants to discuss the systems underpinning modern iGaming operations. Confirmed participants include AWS, Google, Oracle, Cloudflare, Fastly, Gcore, and ScyllaDB signalling serious industry commitment to the initiative.

A Platform for Technical Dialogue

Here’s the curious thing: while the sector hosts numerous networking and business-focused events annually, opportunities for substantive engineering discussions remain thin on the ground. Tech Race Summit aims to change that, prioritising real-world technical decision-making and infrastructure challenges over broader commercial themes.

Topics will span cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, cybersecurity, observability platforms, and artificial intelligence adoption. These matter more than ever in iGaming, where system reliability and performance directly impact player experience and operational efficiency.

AI as a Key Focal Point

The timing is particularly instructive. AI adoption across iGaming has accelerated markedly, from backend development tools to live casino and slots innovations. Platform providers like Cubeia are now leveraging large language models to automate code generation, attempting to compress development cycles and improve time to market. As AI becomes more prevalent, the technical infrastructure questions around these implementations grow more pressing.

WorldGaming, which acquired the iGB portfolio from Clarion Events, is supporting the summit as media partner and will extend these conversations into its ICE 2027 conference. Margaret Dunn, portfolio director at WorldGaming, described the partnership as aligned with the company’s commitment to knowledge sharing across the sector.
